In May, Class 5 enjoyed an amazing experience with Richard Littlefeather. Richard ran a drum-making workshop for us. Over the four days we were joined by many parents as we washed and cut deer hide, licked it to see if it was salty (yuk!) and stetched the hide over our round to create our very own drum.

Class 5 James Craig Trip

During our Australian Studies main lesson, Class 5 travelled down to Darling Harbour to sleep over on the tall ship James Craig. During this experience we loaded cargo using a cargo net; explored the beautiful James Craig; hoisted a sail; put up our hammocks and slept in them; tried our hand at knot tying; learned about navigation; and scrubbed the decks!

Class 5 Trip to Strickland State Forest
